The food is very well done. I recommend getting the coconut shrimp plate. The coconut sauce is amazing and their macaroni salad is also very good.

If I had to give one reason why this is my favorite place to eat in Chico, I would say the portion sizes make this the most bang for your buck food spot here. Not to mention how amazing the food is. They always deliver, with one of my favorite dishes being the chicken katsu plate. Their entire menu is great, and they're quick to serve. No complaints will ever come out of my mouth about Halo.

Came here with the family. There are only a couple of tables inside, so don't plan on eating there. Service was quick, and the other reviews are indeed accurate when they talk about the amount of food. Wife and daughter each ordered mini size of the chicken katsu and the teriyaki chicken. Both were very tasty. Son ordered a poke bowl and they packed it in! He enjoyed the salmon. I ordered the meat combo (short ribs, beef and teriyaki chicken) and it took me two separate meals - and some help from my son - to finish it! Overall it was tasty, but the only thing I'd possibly dock a 1/2 star on is that my teriyaki chicken was pretty salty. Probably marinated too long? Still, I'd totally recommend this place. Bang for the buck, especially nowadays ... can't beat this place!

Hawaiian bbq chicken plate is bomb I love the poke bowls. Absolutely wonderful food. The staff is 50/50. Sometimes there great sometimes not so great. All in all.

My wife, I and our handsome special needs son, Timmy decided it was a Halo dinner evening. Never a disappointment! Lori and Timmy ordered the Teriyaki Chicken and I got me my Poke! The generous portion of Teriyaki chicken comes with a side of white rice and macaroni salad. She said it was very tasty and Timmy gave a thumbs up for his plate. I have to say, I'm not a fan of macaroni salad, but theirs is rather tasty and not bland like the few other macaroni salads I've tried in the past. I just wish Halo had an option of a veggie or salad substitute in place for one of the carbs. Now for my order! Poke, Poke,Poke! Love me some Poke! I ordered white rice as my base. Halo has four base options. White or brown rice or a combo of the two as well as mix salad. Next three generous scoops of protein. I love spicy tuna and ahi tuna. Yum yum! There is also salmon, shrimp and calamari salad available for a protein choice. Next...drum roll please...choose your sides--avocado, cucumber, and inari. Another drum roll please... choose your toppings-- bring it on, all of them! Check my pic of the menu board. Choose your sauce--a combo of spicy Mayo and poke sauce. Tada! A mouth watering, scrumptious bowl of deliciousness! You got to try Poke if you're a fan of sushi! Halo has some good Poke! Friendly staff with a basic ambiance. There's always a line of people primarily ordering take out. There's several tables that seat four and two tables outside for dinning in. The establishment is clean and simple. The prices are very reasonable. My Poke bowl was $14.95 and Lori and Timmy's plate, the Teriyaki Chicken cost $13.50 each. There are many plate options available to choose from. What a steal of a deal! Ya gotta try Halo Hawaiian BBQ!!! Location: 1354 East Ave suite P, here in Chico

What a lovely surprise to discover Halo during our recent trip. Thank you for pricing your menu fairly. This is a great deal for the amount of food you get. The poke bowl was a fresh and delightful treat on a blazing afternoon. The ingredients were plentiful and delicious. The MINI kalua pork was very filling. The service was prompt and efficient, in spite of all of the to-go orders around our food. Inside seating is limited so recommend you get the takeouts. Will be visiting here again soon.

Delicious food and fast, friendly service! Their poke bowls are the best I've ever had and super healthy! My fiancé always asks for a few bites of my bowl, and of course I always take a few bites of his bbq chicken and pasta hehehe. We eat here about once every month!

FOOD - Spam Musubi: I can't pass up spam musubi! It had more rice than I like but otherwise it was good. 4/5 - Seafood & BBQ Combo Plate: fried fish, fried shrimp, and BBQ chicken. All very good. Combo plates come with 2 scoops of rice and 1 scoop of Mac salad. 4.5/5 - BBQ Combo Plate: BBQ chicken, beef, and short ribs. We got all rice for this plate as no one eats Mac salad in my family besides me. All the meats were tender and flavorful. 4.5/5 SERVICE: Fast and friendly. 4/5 FINAL THOUGHTS: I would definitely come back. Good food in large servings for a fair price. I would like to try their poke bowl next time.
